" My project allows me to feed my scientific curiosity while improving our knowledge of the Arctic ecosystem. I work in collaboration with scientists from the fields of optics (Anastasiia Pusenkova) and electrical engineering (Davood Kalhor) to develop innovative optical devices to help us answer our research question. It is extremely exciting to see the concrete results from our multidisciplinary collaboration."

- Mathilde Poirier, Sentinel North excellence scholarship awardee and Ph.D. student in biology, Université Laval
